【這樣會新鮮嗎？】
台灣人好像喜歡當農人。付錢，然後去農場採水果、漿果等。（我自己覺得去超市就好。）反正，很多人會這樣說：
[?] We went out into the orchard and picked up some fruit.
這時候我不得不懷疑，「這樣水果會新鮮嗎？」為什麼呢？

那個人應該要說的是：「我們去果園採了一些水果。」
問題是，pick up 的意思是，東西在地上，然後你去撿起來。說 pick up some fruit 表示水果已經掉下去了，可能已經爛了。
正確的說法是什麼呢？
就是用一個字 pick.
★ pick up 兩個字是「撿起來」的意思。
★ pick 一個字才是「採」、「摘」的意思。
所以上面的「例錯」文法上沒有問題，但意思上有問題。應該是：
√ We went out into the orchard and picked some fruit.

(我要為女朋友做件浪漫的事，所以我去鄉下地方採花。)
